A Resistance Drill is an electronically controlled micro-drill used to evaluate the internal condition of trees and timber structures. As the fine drill bit advances through the wood, the instrument records the resistance encountered, producing a detailed profile of relative wood density. This data enables the identification of internal decay, voids, cracks, and insect-related damage that may not be visible externally.
